What are the technical specifications for this product?
Capuse Life
Each Capsule will allow you to pour up to 15 five-ounce (150ml) glasses of wine with Timeless Systems or 20 five-ounce glasses with Pivot™ Systems.
Average Pour Rate
On average, a 5-ounce (150ml) pour of wine with a Standard Needle will take 25 to 29 seconds.
Off-Center Needle
The Needle in the Coravin System is intentionally off-center, so the Needle will insert into the cork in a different place every time.
What is the process of using and pouring wine with Coravin?
Step 1: Insert
Start by placing the system on top of your bottle and press down firmly in one smooth motion. This allows the precision engineered needle to pass gently through the cork.
Step 2: Tilt & Pour
Tilt the bottle as you would when pouring from an open bottle. Quickly press and release the trigger to inject 100% Pure Argon gas. Wine flows smoothly when the trigger is released.
Step 3: Remove
When finished, return the bottle to an upright position on top the flow. To remove the system, grasp the handle and lift straight up in one fluid motion.
How do I attach the Aerator to a Coravin System?
Ensure you're using the correct Coravin Aerator for your system. Simply push the Aerator on the spout of your Coravin wine by-the-glass system until it fits firm and secure. Once attached, use your system as usual - the Aerator will instantly enhance your wine's aromas and flavors, delivering the equivalent of 60-90 minutes of decating.
Why is there a Bottle Sleeve included with my system?
Bottles that are cracked or chipped can break. We provide a Coravine Wine Bottle Sleeve for safety if you are more comfortable using one.
Does Argon affect the taste of the wine?
No. Argon is an inert, non-reactive gas that does not interact with the wine or its components. Coravine uses 100% Pure Argon gas to protect still wines from oxidation, ensuring every pour tastes as if the bottle were never opened - preserving both the wine's integrity and character.
What are the key differences in the models?
Coravin Timeless
Coravin Timeless® uses a precision-engineered needle and 100% Pure® Argon gas to pour without removing the cork, keeping the remaining wine completely unaffected to it continues to age naturally for enjoyment even years later.
Coravin Pivot+
Coravin Pivot+® works with any closure type. By replacing the bottle's closure with the Pivot Stopper and injecting 100% Pure™ Argon gas as your pour, it keeps wine fresh for up to four weeks.
Coravin Sparkling+
Coravin Sparkling® uses a universal charger with 100% pure CO2 - the same gas that naturally creates bubbles in sparkling wine - to maintain original taste and bubbles for at least four weeks.
Can I use Coravin on screwcap bottles?
Yes. Coravin Timeless® wine by-the-glass systems work with screwcap bottles when used with the Coravin Timeless Screw Cap accessory, which creates a secure, reusable seal that lasts for up to three months. Coravin Pivot+® is also compatible with screwcap bottles using the Pivot Stopper, kepping wine fresh for up to four weeks.
