What is a Coravin Timeless Wine Preservation System?
Coravin Timeless Wine Preservation Systems allow you to pour wine from a bottle without removing the cork. Whether you want a sip, a glass, or more, your last glass will always taste just as amazing as your first - even weeks, months, or years later. Coravin has also developed a Timeless Screw Cap accessory that enables wine lovers to enjoy and preserve bottles sealed with a screw cap for up to three months. Coravin Timeless Wine Preservation Systems include Model Three, Model Five, Model Six, Model Eleven, Timeless Three, Timeless Six, etc.
How are Coravin Timeless Systems different from other wine preservation options?
Other wine preservation systems require the cork to be pulled. This allows oxygen to mix with the wine and starts the process of oxidation. Coravin Timeless Systems pour wine without removing the cork, so oxygen never touches the wine in the bottle, allowing it to stay protected for months and years. Coravin also offers the Pivot™ Wine Preservation System, which allows you to extend the life of your everyday wines. For bottles you expect to finish over the course of days or weeks, the ingenious combination of the Pivot Stopper and the Device keeps the remaining wine fresh for up to 4 weeks ensuring the last glass is just as amazing as the first.
How much wine can I pour with each Coravin Capsule?
Each Coravin Pure™ Capsule will allow you to pour approximately 15, 5 ounce glasses of wine (equivalent to 75 ounces) with Coravin Timeless Systems and 20, 5-ounce glasses of wine (equivalent to 100 ounces) with Pivot Systems. Capsule longevity will vary depending on how you use the Coravin Systems and how often and how much you pressurize each bottle.
What types of wine cork closures does the Coravin Timeless System work with?
Closure Compatibility with Coravin® Timeless™ Systems

Bottles sealed with natural cork will naturally reseal after pouring with a Coravin Timeless™ wine by-the-glass system. If the cork is cold, resealing may take a little longer – typically around one minute. For chilled wines, we recommend standing the bottle upright briefly after pouring to allow the cork time to reseal fully.

Coravin Timeless systems are also compatible with agglomerated corks, multi-piece corks, and twin top corks.

Use caution when accessing bottles with wax seals. A thin wax coating over the cork is generally soft enough not to interfere with the needle or your ability to pour. However, a thick wax disc under the foil – often found on vintage Ports – can obstruct the needle and cause damage. If you encounter resistance, do not proceed.

Important: Coravin Timeless systems are not compatible with glass closures. These closures can cause permanent damage to the needle. For bottles with glass closures, we recommend using the Coravin Pivot® wine by-the-glass system.
Why is there a Bottle Sleeve included with my system?
Pressurized bottles may break if dropped, resulting in projectile glass. Use the supplied bottle sleeve or similar cover to reduce the risk of injury should a presurized bottle break due to drop or impact.
